Algappa university invites applications for admission to the following programmes offered through distance education for the calendar year 2010

MBA: General, Information Business, Investment management, Banking and Finance, Corporate Secretaryship, Project Management, Hospital management, Tourism, Education Management, Human Resource Management; MCA (3 years); PGDCA (one year)

Post graduate diploma programmes (1 year)

Personnel Management and Industrial Relations, Business Management, Hospital administration, Sports management, Human Resource Management, Library Automation and Networking, Information Technology management

Lateral entry programmes (for details refer prospectus)

Lateral entry to II year in respect of the following UG programmes

B.A. (History), B.Com., BBA, MBA, MA (History), M.Com are offered both in English and Tamil medium. Other courses are offered in English medium only

MBAs/MCA/PGDCA are offered under semester pattern and other courses under non-semester pattern

Scholarship available for SC/ST unemployed students when their parents annual income does not exceed Rs 1,00,000/- subject to the rules and regulations

Course fee concession is provided to the physically handicapped candidates

Cost of application and prospectus

MBA/MCA/PGDCA/M.Sc (CS)/M.Sc (IT) courses – Rs 300/-; all other courses – Rs 100/-

Application and prospectus can be obtained from (i) the director, directorate of distance education, Alagappa university, on payment of prescribed fee by means of demand draft drawn in favour of the Director, DDE, Alagappa university payable at Karaikudi (ii) the approved study centres please refer website www.alagappauniversity.ac.in (iii) in case of downloading the application through university website (www.alagappauniversity.ac.in), the candidates have to remit the cost of application along with filled in application to the directorate
