The programme aims at equipping the students with a comprehensive set of skills and in-depth understanding of the theory and practice of Business Management within the framework of a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural setting
The programme will set new standard of quality of management education
It shall endeavor to create truly professional managers who will have all the skills required to efficiently manage today’s complex organizations in a highly competitive and complex business environment
The programme would facilitate to create managers with holistic views through classroom interaction and field based training
The programme would be comparable with the best in the country in terms of its objectives, curriculum, infrastructure, faculty, academic and general environment, discipline and mode of instructional delivery
Intake: The present intake capacity is 30, however it will be increase in due course of time when the infrastructure facilities, teaching and non teaching staffs are sufficient enough
Eligibility Criteria: Must have completed at least a 3 year bachelor’s degree programme in any disciple recognized by the Association of Indian Universities / UGC / AICTE / appropriate body
They should have a valid MAT score
The minimum requisite percentage of marks in the degree examination is 50% for general candidates and 45% for the candidates belonging to SC/ST
Foreign candidates (including NRI) having equivalent qualification as mentioned above may be considered for admission to the programme against supernumerary seats
Candidates who are waiting for the final year degree examination results are also eligible to apply for MBA programme, however, if selected, their admission will be subject to submission of their provisional result showing an aggregate percentage latest by August, 2012 failing which their provisional admission shall stand cancelled automatically and the fees paid will be refunded after deducting necessary processing fees
Candidates seeking admission under reserved categories or against supernumerary seats shall have to submit necessary documents from the appropriate authority as required by Nagaland University of their claim for reservation/supernumerary seats
Selection Procedure: The admission will be through Management Aptitude Test (MAT) conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA) at several centres in India including School of Management Studies, Nagaland University, Dimapur campus
It will be followed by group discussion and personal interview, based on short listing through MAT scores at School of Management Studies, Nagaland University in June/July, 2012
Reservation: Reservation of seats as per existing rule
Foreign Students: Foreign Students may be admitted (1 or 2 seats) over and above the approved intake
They will be required to submit GMAT and TOEFL scores and will have to appear only for personal interview
However, they must obtain clearance from the Dept of Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt of India, for pursuing the above programmes at the School of Management Studies, Nagaland University
Admission/enrolment/registration of students: 02nd-06th July, 2012
Class start: 01st August, 2012
