KVB Full Form – Karur Vysya Bank or KVB is one of India’s leading banks. It is also a Scheduled Commercial Bank. A Scheduled Commercial Bank is a type of bank which is included in the Second Schedule to the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934. It was founded on 25 July 1916, and completed its 100 years in the year 2016. KVB got its name from the town Karur, Tamil Nadu, where it is currently headquartered. It is a private banking sector. There were two people who opened up KVB – M. A. Venkatarama Chettiar and Athi Krishna Chettiar. Their main objective of opening up KVB was to capitalise the markets and its traders and agriculturists who were previously undeveloped. The bank was established with capital investment of just 1 lakh rupees. Now, it has more than 700 branches, more than 1600 ATMs and more than 500 cash deposit machines. It provides business facilities like retail banking operations, corporate or wholesome banking operations. The bank has also merged with Reliance Money Express Ltd.
