Harry Edward Kane was born on 28 July,1993 to Kim and Patrick Kane in Walthamstow, London. He has Irish ancestry from his father’s side who is from Galway. Kane started showing his interest in football from a very young age, joining a local club called Ridgeway Rovers, when he was only six years old in 1999. Growing up he named Teddy Sheringham as his idol and a role model. He also included David Beckham and Jarmain Defoe as individuals who he was influenced by. He then joined the Arsenal youth academy when he was eight and was released after only one season for apparently being “chubby” and “not very athletic”.

2004-10
- Kane in his early years had had a trial at Tottenham Hotspur but was not successful in getting in and returned to his old club Ridgeway Rovers.
- At the age of eleven, in 2004 he joined Watford for a four to six- week trial wherein after playing against Tottenham he impressed Gotham, thus joining the team.
- Initially he did not particularly stand out as a player but his desire to continuously improve was noted by many. A few years after joining the team he had a large growth spurt, resulting in him being taller and physically stronger.
- In 2008-09 he played, in the under-16s side, competing in the Copa Chivas tournament in Mexico and Bellinzona tournament in Switzerland scoring three goals. He signed a scholarship contract with Tottenham in July 2009, the day he turned 16.
- In the 2009-10 season, he scored 18 goals for Tottenham’s Under-18s playing in 22 matches.

2010-14
- Kane signed his first professional contract in July 2010 with the club. In January 2011 he moved to Leyton Orient on loan which lasted up until the end of the 2010-11 season. He made his first-team debut for Orient on 15 January in a 1-1 draw match against Rochdale. He scored his first goal a week later in his first team goal against Sheffield Wednesday.

- On 2 February 2015, he signed a new five and a half year contract with Tottenham.
- Harry Kane scored his first Premier League hat-trick in March 2015 against Leicester City. His total goal tally with this goal reached 19 in the 2014-15 season becoming the top goal scorer of the division .
