DU B.Ed Admission 2023 – Central Institute of Education (CIE), Delhi University invites online applications for admission to Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Program for the academic session 2023.

DU B.Ed Program
- The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is a full time two-year program, offered by the Faculty of Education, University of Delhi at four institutions:
- Department of Education (Central Institute of Education -CIE)
- Lady Irwin College (LIC)*
- Maharshi Valmiki College of Education(MVCE)
- Shyama Prasad Mukherji College for women(SPMC)*
Note
- **Lady Irwin College (LIC) and Shyama Prasad Mukherji College for Women are exclusively for women. Only women candidates can apply to LIC and SPMC.

- Application Form Released: 2nd week of May 2023
- Last date for submission of online application: 1st week of June 2023
- Admit Card Released: 2nd week of June 2023
- Delhi B.Ed 2023 Exam Date: 4th week of June 2023
- Provisional Answer Key (Out): 4th week of June 2023
- Last date for challenging Delhi B.Ed 2023 Answer Key: 1st week of July 2023
- Last date for payment of Delhi B.Ed 2023 Answer Key challenge fees: 1st week of July 2023
- Declaration of Delhi B.Ed 2023 Result: 2nd week of July 2023
Eligibility Criteria for DU B.Ed Admission 2023
- Candidates must fulfill both Part A and Part B of the eligibility conditions
Minimum Qualifying Marks
- Category-I – Candidates with at least 50% either in Bachelor’s Degree and/or in the Master’s Degree in Science/Social Science/Humanities/commerce or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible
- Category-II – Candidates with at least 55% marks in aggregate in Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology and specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto are eligible..
Eligibility for Choosing Teaching Subject
- Sciences – Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Home Science, Integrated Science
- Languages – Sanskrit, Hindi, English
- Social Sci. – History, Political Science, Geography, Economics, Social Science
- Other Subjects – Commerce, Psychology, Sociology, Punjabi & Urdu. Home Science will be offered only in LIC. Only candidates who have studied B.Sc. Home Science are eligible B.A. program with one discipline of Home Science will not be eligible
Application Process
- Eligible candidates can apply online through official website https://admission.du.ac.in/ & http//cie.du.ac.in
- An applicant should go through the following steps:
- Visit the University of Delhi website https://admission.du.ac.in/ and go to PG admission Portal and register yourself first
- Go through the B.Ed. Prospectus available at http://doe.du.ac.in very carefully
- Check your Eligibility according to the Eligibility criteria given in the prospectus.
Selection Process
- Admissions to the B.Ed. program will be made through an Entrance Test. The merit will be prepared on the basis of scores obtained in the Entrance Test.
Exam Pattern
- Mode of Exam: Offline mode
- Test Duration: 2 hours
- Type of Question: Multiple Choice Questions
- No. of Question: 100 Question
- Total Marks: 400 marks
Marking Scheme
- There is negative marking. For each wrong answer, one mark would be deducted
Admit Card
- Admit card can be downloaded from the website by https://admission.du.ac.in/
- Admit cards will only be released for the candidates who have submitted the application form on or before the last date. The Admit card contains the important details regarding the exams like examination time, venue, and instruction which candidates must follow during the examination time.
