Exam Date for Common Admission Test (CAT) 2023 announced
The Indian Institute Management (IIM) Lucknow has announced the exam date for Common Admission Test (CAT) 2023. As per the notification, the CAT 2023 exam will be held on November 26, 2023 in three sessions. The Registration process for the same will begin from August 2, 2023 and will conclude on September 13, 2023. The admit cards will be made available from October 25, 2023.
The Application fee for SC, ST and PwD category candidates is ₹1200 and for all other categories of candidates is ₹2400
CAT exam is conducted by one of the IIMs on a rotational basis for admission to the Post Graduate Program in IIM’s and top B-Schools of India. IT is one of the largest MBA entrance exams conducted in India, annually. CAT scores are accepted by over 1000 B-schools across the country for admission.
CAT 2023 will be conducted in test centres spread across around 155 test cities. The entrance exam will be held through computer-based mode for a duration of 120 minutes. CAT exam comprises 66 questions divided into 3 sections:
- Section 1 – Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC),
- Section 2 – Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR)
- Section 3 – Quantitative Ability (QA)
Candidates having bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any stream from a recognized institution/ university with 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/Pwd categories) are eligible to apply. Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree or are waiting for the results can also apply. There is no upper or lower age limit to appear for CAT Exam
