Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have a master degree/pg degree with 55℅ marks from any recognized university. Candidates shall be short listed on the basis of UGC-NET/GATE/CSIR/GPAT/SLET by the PTU and thereafter interviews shall be conducted.

- Eligible & Interested candidates can apply online only.
- To fill the online application form, click on the link official website https://ptu.ac.in/ in” to register for the programme and create a password for the application process. Do not share the password with anybody.
- The candidates applying under both Categories i.e. I (ADF) and Category II have to submit separate application form for each category
- The candidates applying under Category-I i.e. ADF scheme have to send supporting documents of eligibility via email to ptuphdadmissions@ptu.ac.in along with the downloaded application form

Admission Procedure
- The admission to Ph.D. programme shall be made through an open advertisement using the following methods:
- (a) The students who qualify for fellowship/scholarship in UCC-NET/ UGC-CSIR NET/GATE/CEED and similar National/State level tests based on an interview. OR
- (b) The students who qualify for Ph.D. Entrance Test conducted by the University. The admission for the June-July/Dec-Jan session shall be based on the merit basis in the PhD Entrance test and interview.
Selection Criteria
- (a) After the successful conduct of the Ph.D. interview, inter-se merit of all candidates shall be prepared according to the following criteria:
- (i) Weightage to marks in the entrance test: 70%
- (ii) Weightage to interview: 30%
- (b) Inter-se merit of candidates qualified based on fellowships/scholarships in UGC, NET/UGC-CSIR NET, GATE, CEED, and similar national-level tests shall be prepared as per
