University Institute of Applied Management Science (UIAMS), Panjab University, Chandigarh invites application for Management Entrance Test (PU MET 2024) for admission to MBA Program offered in various streams for the academic session 2024-25. For 40 years, the Punjab University – University Business School (formerly known as the Department of Commerce and Business Management) has been providing good education in management. Eligibility Criteria
MBA (Retail Management)/ MBA (Banking and Insurance Management) and/ MBA (Capital Markets)/ MBA (Infrastructural Management) :
- A Bachelor’s or Master Degree in any discipline of Panjab University or of any other university which has been recognized by the syndicate as equivalent thereto with not less than 50% * marks in the aggregate.
- Provided that in case of candidates having Bachelor’s degree of the University through Modern Indian Languages [Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi (Gurumukhi Script)] and/or in a classical language (Sanskrit/ Persian/Arabic) or degree of any other university obtained in the same manner recognized by the Syndicate, 50% marks in the aggregate shall be calculated by taking into account full percentage of marks in all the papers in Language excluding the additional optional paper, English and the elective subject taken together. OR
- Pass in the final examination conducted by either (a) Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England, or (b) Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England or (c) Institute of Company Secretaries of India OR
- AMIE examination with 50% marks or more after having passed the diploma examination with 60% marks or above and have at least 5 years research/teaching or professional experience.
MBA (Information Technology & Telecommunications Management) :
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology, i.e. B.E./B. Tech. (in any Branch) of Panjab University or of any other University recognized by Panjab University as equivalent there to with at least 50%*marks in the aggregate. OR
- Bachelor’s degree in any Science subject with Physics and/or Mathematics of Panjab University or of any other University recognized by Panjab University as equivalent there to with at least 50%* marks in the aggregate. OR
- Bachelor’s in Computer Applications (BCA) of Panjab University or any of the other University recognized by the Panjab University as equivalent thereto with atleast 50% * marks in the aggregate. OR
- AMIE examination with 50% marks or more after having passed the diploma examination with 60% marks or above and have at least 5 years research/teaching or professional experience
MBA (Pharmaceutical Management) :
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy of Panjab University or of any other university recognized by Panjab University as equivalent there to with at least 50%* marks in aggregate. OR
- M.B.B.S of Panjab University or of any other university recognized by Panjab University as equivalent there to with at least 50% * marks in the aggregate. OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in any Science subject of Panjab University or of any other University recognized by Panjab University as equivalent there to with at least 50%* marks in the aggregate AND Diploma in Pharmacy of Panjab University or of any other University recognized by Panjab University as equivalent there to with at least 50% * marks in the aggregate. OR
- B.Sc (Medical)/B.Sc.(Biotechnology)/ B.Sc. (Biochemistry) of Panjab University or of any other University recognized by Panjab University as equivalent there to with at least 50%* marks in the aggregate.
MBA (Hospital Management)
- MBBS/ BDS/ BAMS/ BHMS/ B. Pharmacy/ B.Sc (Nursing)/ Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) of Panjab University or a degree of any other University which has been recognized by the syndicate as equivalent thereto with not less than 50%* marks in the aggregate. OR
- B.Sc (Medical)/B.Sc. (Biotechnology)/ B.Sc. (Biochemistry) /B.Voc. (Hospital Management) of Panjab University or of any other University recognized by Panjab University as equivalent there to with at least 50%* marks in the aggregate.
- Management Courses at UIAMS are for a duration of 2 years spread across 4 semesters.
Application Process
- Interested Candidates can apply online only through official website www.met.puchd.ac.in or www.uiams.puchd.ac.in
- A candidate desirous of taking the Entrance Test should fill the application form online and further submit printed copy of the Application form under Registered Cover or personally at the following address on or before April 18, 2024 up to 4:00 p.m.

Steps to Follow
- Step 1 Read Prospectus carefully.
- Step 2 Register Online
- Step 3 Note down your Login Id and Password (login details will be sent to your registered Email Id also).
- Step 4 Take printout of fee challan (fee challan can also be downloaded from account using login id and password).
- Step 5 Deposit fee using website generated fee challan at any SBI branch, minimum one day after printing of fee challan.
- Step 6 Login again after 24 Hrs. of depositing fee and upload scanned photograph, signature, fill other important information.
- Step 7 Take printout of the application form and submit/send it along with the required documents (if any) to the address mentioned on the printout of the application form.

- For SC/ST/PwD Category – Rs. 1260/-
Admission Process
- The admission will be made on the basis of the Entrance Test MET (85% weightage), Group Discussion (7.5% weightage) and Personal Interview (7.5% weightage).
Exam Pattern
- The Entrance Test will carry 85% weightage and be of 2 hours duration.
- It will consist of multiple- choice questions having four responses A, B, C & D.
- The components of the test will include: (i) General Knowledge; (ii) Economics and Business Environment Awareness; (iii) Data interpretation and problem solving; (iv) Numerical Ability; (v) Verbal Ability/ Reasoning and (vi) English Comprehension.
