TS LAWCET and PGLCET 2024 – A Common Entrance Test, designated as Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test-2024 (TS LAWCET-2024) and Telangana State PG Law Common Entrance Test – 2024 (TS PGLCET-2024) will be conducted by the CONVENER, TS LAWCET/ TS PGLCET-2024, Osmania University, Hyderabad on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education for admission into 3 Year / 5 Year LLB. Regular Courses and 2 year LL.M. Courses in the Colleges of Law in Telangana for the academic year 2024-2025

TS LAWCET and PGLCET 2024 Important Dates

  • Issue of Notification: 28th February 2024
  • Commencement of Submission of Online Applications: 01st March 2024
  • Last date for Submission of Online Applications without Late fee: 15th April 2024
  • Last date for Submission of Online Applications with Late fee of Different slabs: 25th May 2024
  • Exam Dates (Computer Based Test): 03rd June 2024, 10.30 AM to 12.00 Noon – 3 Year LLB; 2.30 PM to 4.00 PM; 5 YDC LLB & LLM
  • Announcement of Final Key and Test Entrance Results : Will be Notified

 

TS LAWCET and PGLCET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

3 year LL.B. Course:

  • The Candidates for 3-year LL. B. Course should have passed any Graduate Degree (10+2+3 pattern) of a recognized University or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the Universities concerned with 45% of aggregate marks for general category, 42% for OBC Category and 40% for SC/ST.
  • If any candidate secured less than 45%, 42% and 40% respectively in graduation as stated above, he should have secured the same percentage or more on the aggregate in any Post Graduation or B.Ed.

Note:

  • The percentage of 44.5% and above in aggregate in graduation (10+2+3 Pattern) in case of candidates belonging to general categories, 41.5% or above in aggregate in graduation (10+2+3 Pattern) in case of candidates belonging to OBC category and 39.5% and above in aggregate in graduation(10+2+3 Pattern) in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category will be considered as 45%,42% and 40% of aggregate marks respectively for admission into LL.B 3 year course. 

5 Year LL.B. Course:

  • The Candidates for 5 year LL.B. course should have passed two year Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the University concerned or the Board of Intermediate Education, T.S. with 45% of aggregate marks for general category, 42% for OBC Category and 40% for SC/ST.

Note:

  • The percentage of 44.5% and above in aggregate in Intermediate (10+2 Pattern) in case of candidates belonging to general categories, 41.5% or above in aggregate in Intermediate (10+2 Pattern) in case of candidates belonging to OBC category and 39.5% and above in aggregate in Intermediate (10+2 Pattern) in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category will be considered as 45%, 42% and 40% respectively for admission into LL. B 5-year course.

For TS PGLCET 2024 (LLM)

  • Candidates holding LL.B./B.L. 3/5 Year degree on the date of application are eligible and candidates who have appeared/appearing for LL.B./B.L. Final year examination are also eligible. 
  • A candidate appearing for LLB/BL degree examinations may take the TSPGLCET in anticipation of results. However he/she must have passed at the time of counseling.

Exam Pattern

 

TS LAWCET-2024

  • Mode of Exam – Online mode (Computer Based Test (CBT))
  • Medium of Entrance Test: The question paper will be set both in English and Telugu or English and Urdu
  • Test Paper Information: The Test is designed to evaluate the candidate’s ability and aptitude to pursue the study of Law. The Test consists of three parts. Total number of questions will be 120 and the duration of the test is 90 minutes. Maximum marks are 120.
  • Part – A: Consists of 30 questions carrying 30 marks: General Knowledge and Mental Ability.
  • Part – B: Consists of 30 questions carrying 30 marks: Current Affairs.
  • Part – C: Consists of 60 questions carrying 60 marks: Aptitude for the Study of Law.
  • Out of these 60 Questions a total of 10 Questions will be based on the comprehension of legal passages.

 

TS PGLCET-2024

  • Medium of Entrance Test: The question paper will be set in English only.
  • Mode of Entrance Test: A Single entrance test is conducted for all the courses of LL.M. It is of 90 minutes duration and consists of 120 questions of 1 mark each.
  • Part-A consists of 40 questions (Jurisprudence 20M, Constitutional Law 20M; Total 40 questions of 1 mark each); and
  • Part -B consists of 80 questions (Public International Law 16M, Mercantile Law 16M, Labour Law 16M, Crimes and Torts 16M, and Other Laws 16M).
