Pondicherry University announces Distance Learning Undergraduate, Postgraduate and MBA Program Admission 2024-25

Pondicherry University Distance Education Admission 2024 – Pondicherry University (PU), Puducherry has released notification and invites application from eligible candidates for admission into the UG, PG and MBA Programs for the academic year 2024-25. The University entered in the field of Distance Education in the academic year 1995–96 to cater to the needs of the aspirant students who otherwise could not pursue higher education going to on campus academic programmes. The University has retained its pre-eminent position in offering the various job-oriented academic programs through Distance Education for the past 25 years. At  Present  DDE  is  offering  20  Programs including UG/PG and MBA Programs.

Eligibility Criteria for Pondicherry University Distance Education Admission 2024

 

  • B.Com. BBA & BA: The Student must have passed in any of the stream of: 10 +2 or 11+1 or 11 + 2 years or 3 years diploma
  • M.Com. in Finance: Student must possess BCom / BBA / BBM / BISM /BA(Economics) / MBA/ Commerce or Accountancy as a subject in UG Degree/ any degree with CA(Inter) or ICWA (Inter)/ CA/ ICWA from a recognized Institution in any of the following stream:10+2+3 or 11+1+3 or 11+2+2.
  •  MA (English, Sociology & Hindi): Any Degree from the UGC Recognised University under 10+2+3 or 11+1+3 or 11+2+2 system of college education.
  • All MBA except Hospital Mgt.: Any Degree from the UGC Recognised University
  • under 10+2+3 or 11+1+3 or 11+2+2 systems of college education.
  • MBA – Hospital Mgt.: Any Graduate with an MBBS degree, Pharmacy, Dental, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Bio-Engineering, Bio-Sciences and a Graduate from any of the Indian Systems of Medicine like Homeopathy, Siddha, Ayurveda and Unani. [or] Any other graduate with 2 years of Work Experience in any hospital and the degree should be from a UGC recognized University with pass in the stream of 10 + 2 + 3 or 11 + 1 + 3 or 11 + 2 + 2 system

 

Application Process

 

Online admission is done through the following steps:

  • Fill-up the online Admission form in the DDE portal ofPondicherry University Website and pay the admission fee.
  • Students are requested to double check the personal details likeName, Address, Email ID, Phone number, etc. If you want to change the personal details after admission then you have to pay a fee of RS. 100.
  • Ensure that all the columns in the application form are filled-in,and avoid typo error
  • Double check your name, as it should mandatorily match with the SSLC. In case the candidate’s  name was changed on a later date(s), a proof of documentary evidence i.e., GazetteNotification must be submitted.
  • Upload Passport size photo, digital signature and other necessary documents.
  • After receiving information for the payment of I semester / I Year fee from DDE, you have to pay the fee online by logging into your dashboard

 

Complete the online certificate verification process as per the time schedule intimated by DDE.

  • Fees once remitted will not be considered for refund except under circumstances mentioned in the statutes, the ordinances of University,circulars and notices issued from time to time.
  • Keep the following documents ready for online verification
    • Online admission form print out
    • Original

(a) Degree/Provisional Certificate (for PG Courses only)

(b) Consolidated Mark Statement of Degree (for PG Courses only)

(c) HSC (+2) Mark sheet

(d) SSLC (10th Std) Mark sheet

(e) Aadhar card

(f) Certificate from Competent authority for fee concession, if any

 

Admission Process

  • Students can apply ONLINE through DDE portal on Pondicherry University website or can approach any of the DDE Spot Admission Centres with the necessary documents

 

Certificate Verification

  • Certificate verification can be done through online at the scheduled time for each student. In case, if the student is not able to do so, then they can send the Original Certificates through Registered/ Speed Post to “The  Director,  Directorate  of  Distance  Education,  Pondicherry  University,  RV  Nagar,  Kalapet,        Pondicherry – 605 014” for verification. The certificates will be returned to the students after verification through Registered/ Speed post within a month.
