Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission announces MP State Eligibility Test (SET) 2024 for Assistant Professor Post , Apply now
MP SET 2024 – Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has released notification and invites online applications for State Eligibility Test (MP SET) 2024 to determine the eligibility of candidates for the post of Assistant Professor in the state of Madhya Pradesh. Interested candidates can apply for MP SET 2024 from 21st March 2024.

- Start Online Application Process: 21 March 2024
- Last Date to apply for MP SET 2024: 20 April 2024 (till 12.00 noon)
- Form Correction period without late fee: 27 March 2024 to 22 April 2024
- Date of filling online application form (I time) with late fee (Rs. 3000 + Rs. 40 Portal Fee): 21 to 30 April 2024
- I Form Correction period with late fee (Rs. 50 Per Session): 22 April 2024 to 2 May 2024
- Date of filling online application form (II time) with late fee (Rs. 25000 + Rs. 40 Portal Fee): 1 May 2024 – 10 days before the exam
- II Form Correction period with late fee (Rs. 50 Per Session): 2 May 2024 – 10 days before the exam

MP SET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
- A candidate shall be eligible if he has passed post graduation or is studying in final year of post graduation / third semester of post graduation / fourth semester of post graduation from any university or educational institution established by a Central Act or State Act or a University under the University Grants Commission, 1956 (Notification No. 3 of 1956).
- It is necessary for the candidates of unreserved category to have minimum 55% marks in postgraduate degree and 50% marks for reserved category (SC, ST, OBC (except creamy layer) and Divyangjan candidates of Madhya Pradesh only).
- Candidates of EWS category should have minimum 55% marks in postgraduate degree as per the instructions of UGC, like the candidates of unreserved category.
- Such candidates who are studying in the final year of postgraduate third, postgraduate fourth semester of postgraduate and whose result of final year of postgraduate examination has not been declared or the result of final year of postgraduate third, postgraduate fourth semester has not been declared or the result of final year of postgraduate third, postgraduate fourth semester is awaited, all such candidates are provisionally eligible to appear in the examination.
- Even if the above mentioned candidates are eligible in the examination, the eligibility certificate will be valid only if the candidates of unreserved category have obtained minimum 55% marks in postgraduate degree and reserved category (SC, ST, OBC (except creamy layer) and Divyangjan candidates of Madhya Pradesh only) have obtained minimum 55% marks in postgraduate degree within two years of declaration of State Eligibility Test result. (except creamy layer), and disabled candidates must have obtained minimum 50 percent marks.
- Such Ph.D. degree holders whose postgraduate examination has been completed by 19th September, 1991 will be given 5% relaxation (from 55% to 50%) in educational qualification.
- Such candidates will also be eligible to appear in the eligibility test, who have postgraduate degree, diploma or certificate from any university in India or any university or institute abroad, but they will have to obtain a certificate from Association of Indian University, New Delhi and provide it to the cell that the degree or diploma obtained by them is equivalent to the postgraduate degree awarded by an Indian University.

Application Fee
- General Category : INR 500 (with INR 40 as portal fee)
- Reserved Category : INR 250 (with INR 40 as portal fee)
MP SET 2024 Exam Pattern
- MP SET 2024 will be held in offline mode.
- There will be two question papers in this examination.
- Both the questions papers will be of completely objective type as per the syllabus
- It will be a Multiple Choice Question, Matching type, True /False, Assertion & Reasoning type.
- There will be no gap between the two questions papers.
- There will be no negative marking.

Medium of Examination Paper
- The question paper will be in both Hindi and English medium.
- The question paper for the language subject will be in the respective language.
- In case of discrepancy in the structure and translation of the question paper, preference will be given to the question written in Hindi.
