Eligibility Criteria
For UG Courses
- Age: – Minimum age for admission is 17 years on or before 31st December 2024. For B.Sc. Paramedical courses in SGPGIMS, Lucknow Maximum age limit is 30 years as on 31st December 2024. For other Institutes no Maximum age limit.
Academic Qualification

- Candidate with Science subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology in 12th Standard examination is eligible for all Bachelor’s Paramedical Courses provided he/she has obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) and passed in English individually from any recognized board.
- Candidate with Science subjects Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics in 12th Standard examination is eligible for the following Bachelor’s Paramedical Courses only –

- Bachelor of Optometry
- Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology
provided that he/she has obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and passed in English individually from any recognized board.
- Candidate with Science subjects Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science/ Statistics/ Electronics/ Psychology in 12th Standard examination is eligible for the following Bachelor’s Paramedical Course only –

- Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology
provided that he/she has obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science/ Statistics/ Electronics/ Psychology and passed in English individually from any recognized board.
- In respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC the marks obtained in 3 core subjects shall be 40% instead of 45%.
- Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by central government having Science subjects and English only.
- English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for eligibility for admission in Paramedical Course(s).
- Color Blind candidates are eligible provided that color corrective contact lens and spectacles are worn by such candidates.
- The selection of candidates will be subject to medical fitness. No selected candidate will be permitted to join the course unless declared medically fit by the Medical Board constituted by the Government Medical College or the District CMO.
For PG Courses
- Master in Medical Laboratory Science : Candidates with Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Science with minimum 50% aggregate.
- Master of Optometry : Candidates with Bachelor of Optometry with minimum 50% aggregate.
- M.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology : Candidates with B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology / B.Sc. Anaesthesia with minimum 50% aggregate.
- M.Sc. in Medical Radiology & Imaging Technology : Candidates with B.Sc. in Medical Radiology & Imaging Technology / B.Sc. in Medical Technology Radio Diagnosis & Imaging / B.Sc. Radiology Technology / B.Sc. in Radiography / B.Sc. Medical Technology (X-ray) with minimum 50% aggregate.
- Master of Physiotherapy : Candidates with Bachelor of Physiotherapy with 6 months compulsory internship with minimum 50% aggregate.
- Master of Occupational Therapy : Candidates with Bachelor of Occupational Therapy with 6 months compulsory internship with minimum 50% aggregate.

- Minimum age for admission is 17 years on or before 31st December 2024. No upper age limit.
Application Process
- Applicants must read the instructions for filling the online application form carefully before filling the form.
- Application shall be submitted through the online mode only via website www.abvmuup.edu.in
- No application form shall be received by post or by any other mode.
- Applicants must provide all correct information in the application form, if any information is found incorrect or wrong at any stage then the candidature /admission will be cancelled.
- Admission to Paramedical Bachelor/Masters Courses will be done through CPET-2024 only.
Application and Examination Fee
- For Unreserved/Other Backward Classes (UR/OBC) : Rs. 3000/-
- For SC/ST/PwD. : Rs. 2000/-
- Mode of Payment : Online via a Debit Card / Credit Card/ Net Banking or UPI.
Admission Process
- The selection and allotment of college shall be strictly done on the basis of Paramedical Bachelor/Masters Common Entrance Test (CPET)-2024 merit list through Counselling only.
- The candidate, who has qualified for the admission to the Paramedical Bachelor course, shall deposit the prescribed fee on the date notified for that purpose by the University. Those who fail to do so will lose their claim for admission to the course.
- Candidates shall join the course within the specified period.
UP CPET 2024 Entrance Exam
PG Courses
- Date: Sunday 23.06.2024
- Time: 11.00 AM to 2:20 PM (200 Minutes)
- Venue: As mentioned on the admit card.
- Mode of Examination: MCQs – Objective/Multiple Choice response Questions to be answered on Optical Mark Reader Sheet (OMR sheet) using black ball point pen provided at the Center.
- Number of Questions: 200
- Marks: Every single correct response will get 01 mark each. No Negative Markings for incorrect response and no marks for multiple responses.
- Medium of Examination: English
- Syllabus: Subjects for the written test will be as per the applicable Paramedical Bachelor course.
- There will be 200 Multiple Choice Questions.
- Number of questions: 200 (Question paper will be in three sections. Section A, B and C of 100, 50 and 50 marks each respectively).
Minimum Qualifying Marks:
- The minimum qualifying criteria of entrance test to admission to Paramedical Masters Courses is as under:
- General – 50th percentile
- General- PwD – 45th percentile
- SC/ST/OBC- 40th percentile
