Chhattisgarh SET 2024 – Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board has released the Notification and invites applications for Chhattisgarh State Eligibility Test (CG SET) 2024 to assess the eligibility of candidates aspiring for Assistant Professor positions across various colleges and universities in Chhattisgarh State. Important Dates
- Submission of Online Applications: 13th May 2024
- Last Date to Submit the Application Form: 09th June 2024
- Form correction window will be open: 10th to 12th June 2024
- Date of Entrance Examination : 21st July 2024 (Sunday)
- Exam timing :
- Paper-I 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM
- Paper-II 2:00 PM to 4:15 PM
- Exam Centre : Ambikapur, Bilaspur, Durg, Jagdalpur, Raipur, Dantewada, Kanker and Jashpur
Eligibility Criteria
- To appear in the SET exam, it is necessary to pass a postgraduate degree or equivalent examination from a recognized university with at least 55% (50% for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/ disabled) marks (minimum 50% marks will not be rounded off). Those candidates can also appear in the exam who are appearing in the final year of postgraduate or equivalent degree examination, but they will have to pass with minimum prescribed percentage of marks within 1 year from the date of result of the said postgraduate or equivalent examination.
- Note:- (i) Relaxation in marks and reservation related benefits will be payable only to the candidates of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Class (non-creamy layer) and disabled who are natives of scheduled states for Chhattisgarh.
- (ii) In case of any dispute, the provisions given in the guidelines issued by UGC regarding NET will be valid.
- (iii) Candidates who have obtained Post Graduate Diploma/Certificate from an Indian University/Institution or Degree/Diploma Certificate from a foreign University/Institution should ensure in their own interest that the Degree/Diploma/Certificate obtained by them is equivalent to a post graduate degree of a University recognized by the Association of Indian Universities.
Application Process
- Application form for CG State Eligibility Test 2024 is available from May 13, 2024, at https://vyapam.cgstate.gov.in/
- Chhattisgarh Professional Exam Board has released the application form online mode only.
- Applicants should ensure their eligibility criteria before filling the application form and read the important mandatory point.
Exam Fee
- According to Chhattisgarh Government, General Administration Department’s letter number F-10-2/2022/one (1) dated 08.04.2022, no fee will be charged from the local resident participants of Chhattisgarh State.
- The prescribed rule examination fee for participants resident outside the state of Chhattisgarh is Rs. 700/- will be payable.
- The examination fee will be paid online through bank debit card (ATM card), credit card or internet banking only.
CG SET 2024 Exam Pattern
- Examination Method : There will be two question papers in the set examination. All question papers will contain only multiple choice objective questions.
- Paper I – The first question paper is compulsory. This question paper is of general nature in which questions will be asked to assess the reading and research propensity of the candidates and to test the candidates logical ability to understand, broad and diverse thinking, general awareness etc. There will be 50 questions in this question paper, out of which the candidate is expected to answer all 50 questions. 02 marks will be allotted for each question.
- Paper II – In this question, 100 objective questions will be asked based on the complete syllabus of the subject selected by the candidate (previously prescribed syllabus for Paper I & II, both included) in which 02 marks are fixed for each question. The syllabus in this question paper will be the same as the syllabus of question paper I and Question Paper II.
