CBSE enlists courses to choose after +2
CBSE releases Compendium of Academic Courses for students after +2 – Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a Compendium of 113 Academic courses to choose after +2 with details such as Introduction, Eligibility at Undergraduate level, Postgraduate level and Doctorate level, lists of courses available and List of Institutes/Universities where you can consider to apply for each. These courses are for students who opt any of the four streams – Medical or Non Medical or Commerce or Arts.
According to the official CBSE Press Release, the compendium of courses is an effort of the CBSE board to guide students to make the right choice after +2 which will lead to higher education later. Choosing the right career option after class 12 helps you decide the future course of action and select the most suitable course for yourself. The 122 page publication includes course options with different subject combinations. As there are more than 41,000 colleges and around 900 universities in India, it is not possible to include all the details and the publication includes the best possible information about old age and new age courses. The purpose is to generate curiosity among students to explore new course options by considering the scope, avenues, and possibilities. They can also choose vocational courses after class 12 which provide skills for a specific trade or profession.
Few of the 113 career options listed in the publication are Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Architecture, Aeronautical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Communication and Entertainment, Meteorology, Robotics, Cyber Security, Earth Science, Forestry, Pharmacy, Curation, Education Counsellor, Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Advertising, Choreography, Fine Arts, Design and many more.
How the Compendium will be useful for students?
The compendium ensures that a detailed guideline is provided to the students who are looking for the best possible career option to choose to build a foundation for their career.
The publication is a PDF document of 122 pages in which 113 courses option is listed. In each course, an introduction is provided about the course, eligibility criteria, what courses you can opt-in UG, PG and Doctorate level and the list of institutes/universities that you can consider to apply for higher education.
Through this initiative, students will now get a clear idea and proper guidance. Many private universities/institutes also offer the same courses. Students who wish to apply at private institutions can go to their respective websites and follow the details.

Step 3: A new PDF page will open, students can next download the document into their Computer or Mobile phone devices.
