Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has shared the minutes of the high level meeting conducted to review the situation. The Education minister shared that he has directed the National Testing Agency to make fresh syllabus for JEE Main, NEET and others competitive entrance exams to be conducted in 2021 by the agency. The Education Ministry will also be launching a campaign to seek views from the stakeholders on how and when to conduct Class 10, 12 Board Exam 2021.
The Education Ministry said, “It was decided that the National Testing Agency will come out with the syllabus for competitive examinations after assessment of the existing scenario in various boards. It was also decided that a campaign would be launched by the Education Ministry to seek views from students, parents and teachers on how and when to conduct the exams next year.”
Due to closure of schools because of COVID-19 pandemic, several state boards as well as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) have decided to reduce the syllabus for class 10 and 12 board exams 2021 by 30 percent.

The CBSE is making plans and will soon reveal how it will do test assessments,”
Earlier this week, NTA officials have told that the first session of JEE Main 2021 is likely to be held in February instead of January. An official notification regarding JEE Main 2021 is expected to release soon and the application process for the same will begin next month.
