Plea seeking online conduction of the CBSE Board Exams 2021 dismissed by Delhi HC
The Delhi High Court has dismissed a plea filed by parents seeking the conduction of the upcoming CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exams 2021 in online mode in view of the Covid-19 pandemic situation in the country.
The parents’ association of a private school has filed the plea regarding the conduction of CBSE board exams 2021 in online mode after CBSE released the decision of the conduction of this year’s board exams in an offline mode.
The plea filed by the parents has asked CBSE to do away with physical examinations this year and conduct online board examinations for class 12 students or conduct an open book exam in view of the ongoing pandemic situation. The plea further mentioned that class 10 board exams should be scrapped for this year and students should be assessed on the basis of internal assessment as a one-time measure.
The High Court has asked the central government and the CBSE to treat the PIL filed by the parents as representation. The PIL has highlighted a lot of key points as to why the board exams should be conducted online this year.
