Recruitment Process of a Bank Clerk in Private Banks and in Government Banks:

To become a bank clerk of a private bank one has to clear IBPS Examination. IBPS is a common written exam and the total marks of the examination as 200. The paper is divided into 5 sections: General awareness, quantitative aptitude, reasoning, English language and computer knowledge. The marks distribution of each section is 40 and all the questions are in multiple-choice form.

 

However, a person who wants to work as a clerk in a government bank should clear SBI clerk entrance examination. This examination is divided into 2 parts: the preliminary examination and mains. In order to become a bank clerk, one has to clear both the examinations. Once a person has cleared both examinations, merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidates. Candidates whose names are mentioned on the merit list are eligible to become a bank clerk.

 

How to Prepare for Bank Clerk Job:

One who is willing to become a bank clerk should have completed graduation from any recognised college and also be proficient in the regional language. Apart from this, a candidate should prepare himself or herself for the examination by practising quantitative aptitude, reasoning, English-language and current affairs.
