Amrita School of Biotechnology Admission 2022 Eligibility Criteria

For Postgraduate Program

  • M.Sc. Bioinformatics [2 years/ 4 Semesters] – Graduation in any discipline of science including Mathematics, Engineering or Medicine. A background in Mathematics or Computer Science is preferred.  The basic eligibility criteria are minimum 60% aggregate Marks in Qualifying Under Graduate Examination.
  • M.Sc. Microbiology [2 years/ 4 Semesters] – Graduation in any discipline of Biological Sciences, Engineering[Biotechnology], Medicine or Equivalent [With Background in Biology]. The basic eligibility criteria are minimum 60% aggregate Marks in Qualifying Under Graduate Examination
  • M.Sc. Biotechnology [2 years/ 4 Semesters] – Graduation in any discipline of Biological Sciences, Engineering[Biotechnology], Medicine or Equivalent [With Background in Biology]. The basic eligibility criteria are minimum 60% aggregate Marks in Qualifying Under Graduate Examination.

For Undergraduate Programs

  • B.Sc. Microbiology [3 years/ 6 Semesters] – A pass in higher secondary examination or its equivalent is mandatory with 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology taken together.
  • B.Sc. Biotechnology [3 years/ 6 Semesters] – A pass in higher secondary examination or its equivalent is mandatory with 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology taken together.

For Doctoral Program

  • Master’s Degree in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Computational Neuroscience or any branch of Biological Sciences with at least 60% marks.

Amrita School of Biotechnology Admission 2022 Application Process

  • Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website https://www.amrita.edu/admissions/biotech
  • The candidates are desirous to seek admission to be required to apply online. Only those applicants, who apply online before the last date and satisfy the eligibility criteria, will be considered for admission.
  • Instruction for Registration is available on the website.

Application Fees

  • Any UG/PG program – Rs. 750/-
  • Mode of Payment – Online through Debit Cards/Credit Cards/Net Banking.

For Undergraduate Programs

  • For admissions to undergraduate programs, performance in the following is taken into account.
  • Entrance Examination
  • Counseling
  • Note: Those who are appearing for the qualifying board examinations in March/April 2022 can also apply and notify us of the results when declared.

For Postgraduate Program

  • For admissions to postgraduate programs, performance in the following is taken into account.
  • Qualifying Undergraduate Examination
  • Entrance Examination
  • Interview
  • Note: Those who are appearing for the qualifying undergraduate examinations in May/June 2022 can also apply and notify us of the results when declared. 

Doctoral Programs

  • Selection will be based on a written test followed by an interview.
