WB State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE) announces Admission to Diploma Program 2021

WBSCTE Diploma Admission 2021 – West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE) invites applications from the interested candidates for admission into various Diploma Courses and Post Defor the year 2021.

Courses Offered and Duration

  • Diploma in Modern Office Practice & Management (MOPM) 3-Years
  • Diploma in 3D Animation & Graphics (3DAG) 2-Years
  • Diploma in Pharmacy (PHARM) 2-Years
  • Post Diploma in PetroChemical Engineering (PDPC) 18-Months
  • Post Diploma in Medical Electronics (PDME) 18-Months
  • Part Time Morning Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical & Civil Eng (P/T ME, EE, CE) (for ST candidates only) – 4-years
  • Part Time Diploma in Mining Engineering (P/T – MIN) 4-Years
  • Part Time Diploma in Electrical Engineering (P/T – EE) 4-years
  • Diploma in Hotel Management & Catering Technology (HMCT) 3-Years

  • Availability of Application Form: 07th August 
  • Last Date of Submission of Application Form: 31st August 2021

Eligibility Criteria for WBSCTE Diploma Admission 2021

  • Candidates must be an Indian Citizen
  • MOPM: Female candidates who passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent exam from any recognised Institution are eligible. English must be one of the subjects of study at Secondary (10) and Higher Secondary (10+2) level for MOPM course.
  • 3DAG: Female candidates who passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent exam from any recognised Institution are eligible.
  • Pharmacy: Passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent exam in General Stream Course with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics. Candidates passed Higher Secondary (10+2) exam or equivalent exams in Vocational Stream Courses are not eligible
  •  PDPC: Passed 3-years Diploma in Chemical Engineering from any Polytechnic recognized by the AICTE & WBSCT&VE&SD or its equivalent OR B.Sc. (Hons.) in Chemistry from a recognized University and must obtain at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in qualifying exam
  • PDME: Passed 3-years Diploma in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering / Electrical Eng / Electronics & Instrumentation Eng / Computer Sci & Technology/ Computer Software Technology / Medical Laboratory Technology from any Polytechnic recognized by the AICTE and West Bengal State WBSCT&VE&SD
  • P/T – ME, EE & CE: ST Candidates, who passed Madhyamik or equivalent exam, are eligible. ST candidates who are citizens of India and domiciled in West Bengal for at least last two years from the date of application are only eligible
  • P/T – MIN: Sponsored candidates from M/s ECL should have passed Madhyamik / Secondary / equivalent exam with Physical Science and Mathematics and must possess at least 3 years’ post qualification working experience in mining related jobs as on last date of submission of application
  • P/T – EE: Passed 10th Standard / SSC exam and 2 Year ITI after 10th Standard. OR Passed 10th Standard / SSC exam and Minimum of two years full time work experience in a registered firm / Company / Industry / Educational or/and Govt./Autonomous Organization in the relevant field in which admission is sought shall be eligible to apply
  • HMCT: Passed Madhyamik or equivalent exam with English, Physical Science / Sci. and Mathematics among others as subjects securing at least 35% marks in aggregate (no rounding up)

Age Limit

  • MOPM – Date of Birth should not be after 01.07.2004
  • 3DAG/Pharmacy (PHARM) – Age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year
  • PDPC / PDME –Date of Birth should not be after 01.07.2003
  • P/T – ME, EE, CE Date of Birth should not be after 01.07.2006
  • P/T – MIN Not below 19 years as on 01.01.2021
  • P/T – EE Date of Birth should not be after 01.07.2004
  • HMCT – Date of Birth should not be after 01.07.2006

WBSCTE Diploma Admission 2021 Application Procedure

  • Online application portal for admission to the aforesaid courses will be activated on the Council’s website www.webscte.co.in on 07th August 2021

Application Fee

  • Rs.500/- (For Kanyashree candidates, Rs. 250/-)
  • Applicants for the Part Time Morning Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical & Civil Engineering Courses of ICV Polytechnic need not to give any fee
