CMC Vellore announces Medical Postgraduate Degree (MD/MS)/ Diploma In Clinical Pathology / MCh Neurosurgery-Broad Specialty (POST MBBS) Admissions 2022

 
CMC Vellore PG Degree, Diploma, M.Ch. Neurosurgery Admission 2022 – Christian Medical College (CMC) Vellore has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission to Postgraduate Degree (MD/MS), Diploma in Clinical Pathology, and M.Ch. Neurosurgery-Broad Specialty (Post MBBS) Courses for the academic year 2022-23
 
All candidates applying to these courses also have to apply to the Tamil Nadu Selection Committee for the counselling process in the category of Management quota seats in Self-financing Medical Colleges of Tamil Nadu.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates who have qualified for the M.B.B.S Degree of the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University or any other University recognized as equivalent by the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University and the Indian Medical Council, and have completed their Compulsory Rotating Residential Internship before the date stated in the Tamil Nadu Management quota prospectus 2022, are eligible to apply for the postgraduate diploma and degree courses.
  • Candidates having a postgraduate diploma pass certificate may apply for the two-year postgraduate degree (MS/MD) course in the same subject. 
  • Those with a service obligation will need to have completed the same by 29 June 2022.
  • Minimum of 50th percentile or revised applicable minimum qualifying percentile in NEET-PG 2022 as determined by the Government.
  • Post Diploma candidates with a diploma certificate in the same subject need to undergo only 2 years of training for the degree.
  • Note: Those who have completed a Diploma in Clinical Pathology (DCP) will not have this benefit for MD Pathology / MD Transfusion Medicine. 
  • Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria of the TN Management Quota prospectus, to be released in 2022.

 

Application Process

  • Application forms can be accessed only online through the Christian Medical College, Vellore website http://www.admissions.cmcvellore.ac.in 
    • Duly filled application forms must be submitted online with a basic application fee of Rs. 1500/-, before the dates stated in the Admission Time table. All the supporting documents should reach the Office of Registrar, CMC, Vellore-2, by post, on or before 03rd June 2022
    • Candidates who have obtained a minimum of 50th percentile or revised applicable minimum qualifying percentile determined by the Government in the NEET-PG 2022 are eligible for admission.

  • Selection of candidates, who are not citizens of India, is subject to clearance from the Selection Committee of the Tamil Nadu state.

Categories for Admission

  • Selections are based on the following categories: 
  1. General Merit
  2. Service
  3. Minority service
  4. Minority Network
  5. Institutional preference 

 

Selection Process

  • Clinical specialties: Of the total number of seats, 70% of seats are reserved for Minority Network candidates. There shall be a 10% reservation of seats under the Institutional Preference category. 
  • Institutional Preference seats will revert to the Minority Network category if eligible candidates are not available in the rank list of Tamil Nadu Management Quota for Self-financing Colleges. 
  • The remaining 20% of seats are reserved for candidates with proof of two years full-time service in areas of need (Service category) of which half (10% of the total seats) will be reserved for Minority candidates (Minority Service category). 
  • A Minority Network / Institutional preference / Minority service / Service candidate will be allotted a General Merit / Service/ Minority Service seat, in the order of eligible hierarchy if available at the time of his/her counseling. 
  • In the event of an insufficient number of candidates being available in the rank list of Tamil Nadu Management Quota for Self-financing Colleges in any category, the seats will be distributed among the remaining categories in the following order of hierarchy: Minority Service, Service, and General Merit. 
  • Pre and para clinical specialties: In the Pre and Para clinical specialties 40% of seats shall be reserved for the Minority Network category. There shall be a reservation of seats of 10% under the Institutional Preference category. 
  • Institutional Preference seats will revert to the Minority Network category if eligible candidates are not available in the rank list of Tamil Nadu Management Quota for Self-financing Colleges.
