Top 20 Government Medical (MBBS) Colleges in India – Medical education is one of the most pursued courses in India. It is controlled by the Medical Council of India (MCI). Most of the top medical colleges were established in the 1950s and 1960s by the Central and State governments. The number of medical colleges is lesser as compared to the colleges of other fields because a lot of infrastructure is required to set up a medical college.

The college has also been known for its Medical establishments in India such as performing the first bone marrow transplant in 1986, first kidney transplant in 1971, first open heart surgery in 1961 among others.

After MBBS

A Medical student has to undergo an internship for 1 year after completion of academics. This internship is a part of the sylabi of MBBS.

Where to do an internship after MBBS?

What to do after graduating MBBS?
