I am in 10+2 commerce. I want to do a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) after pursuing Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA). Which are the best colleges for BBA? Also, which are the different fields of management which are beneficial?

ANSWER:

Bachelor’s degree programmes in business administration/ business studies/ management studies are called by various names by the different universities. Hence, you are likely to come across BBA, BBS, BMS courses, all of which are more or less the same thing.

Normally, there is an objective-type entrance test for admission to BBA/ BBS/ BMS courses which evaluates English language, quantitative aptitude and reasoning skills. However, the basic focus would be to seek admission into BBA BBS/ BMS courses offered by a government recognized university. There is really no ranking or assessment of colleges for such programmes, but every university would have its share of prominent colleges which attract the cream of students, and such colleges are usually rated among the best.

All specialization or fields of management can be good, but when you choose a specialization it should be-in-the context of your-abilities and personality. For example, finance is a good specialization if you have strong numerical and analytical skills, while marketing is ideal for those with strong interpersonal communication skills who are open minded, comfortable with numbers and have commercial awareness. The decision on a specialization needs to be taken much later. So as of now focus on trying for the best colleges for your Bachelor’s degree.
