HPU ICDEOL B.Ed and MA (Education) Admission 2020 – International Centre for Distance Education & Open Learning (ICDEOL), Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla invites applications for admission to B.Ed. and M.A. (Education) Program through Distance Learning Mode commencing in 2020-21

Eligibility Criteria for HPU ICDEOL B.Ed and MA (Education) Admission 2020

B.Ed. Program

  • Duration: 2 years (annual system)
  • Number of Seats: 450 Seats
  • Distribution of Seats : (i) Medical Stream – 25 Seats, (ii) Non-Medical Stream – 25 Seats, (iii) Commerce Stream – 25 Seats, (iv) Arts Stream – 375 Seats.
  • Educational Qualifications
    • The candidates with at least 50% marks both in the Bachelor’s Degree (Medical/Non-Medical/Commerce/Arts) and in the Master’s Degree in the Sciences/Social/Science/Humanities/Commerce
    • Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent there to, and 45% marks in case of SC/ST/OBC Physically Handicapped categories in the aforesaid Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree and 50% marks for Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University established by Law in India are eligible
  • Medium of Instruction: The medium of instruction for examination is both English and Hindi except in the subject of Hindi, English and Sanskrit. However, the study material will be made available only in English

M.A. (Education)

  • Duration: The Master of Arts in Education Program (M.A. in Education) through ICDEOL shall be an academic program with duration of 2 years spread across four semesters. A candidates can avail a maximum of 10 semesters – 5 years (in one stretch) – to complete this program (including blank semesters), if any in which candidates does not appear in ESE
  • Number of Seats : 200 Seats
  • Educational Qualifications
    • Candidates must be Bachelor’s Degree/Master’s Degree in any discipline /stream from a recognized Indian/Foreign University (Recognized as Equivalent by H.P. University, Shimla) with at least 50% marks
    • In addition, 10% weightage (on the marks obtained in B.Ed. examination) will be given to the candidates possessing B.Ed. Degree from a recognized Indian/Foreign University.

 

HPU ICDEOL B.Ed and MA (Education) Admission 2020 Application Process

  • Submission of Forms Along with Documents Required for Admission to B.Ed. and M.A (Education): The application for admission to the 1st year of the B.Ed./ M.A. (Education) Courses shall be made on the prescribed admission form (DE-9) duly filled in by the candidates eligible in his/her own handwriting and will comprise of the documents listed here under
  • Photostat copies of the certificate must be attested clearly indicating name and designation of the competent attesting authority
  • The complete set of application form (DE-9) must consist of the following copies of certificates (duly attested) along with Forms DE-10 to DE-14, DE-9 duly filled in and complete in all respects. Appointment letter and joining report (Both Compulsory)
  • The application form duly filled-in and accompanied by Bank Draft of Rs.1000/- drawn in favour of the “Director, ICDEOL, H.P., University, Shimla along with self-attested certificate, testimonials, counselling card (with postage stamps of Rs.6/- affixed on the space provided) must reach the “Director, ICDEOL, H.P. University Summer Hill, Shimla (HP) 171005 by the last date fixed for the purpose
  • Demand Draft (DD) of Rs.1000/- drawn in favour of Director, ICDEOL, H.P University, Shimla-05 as application processing fee (non refundable)
  • All the applicants are advised to read the Prospectus of the B.Ed. and M.A. (Education) 2020 carefully before filling up the Form, which is available on www.hpuniv.in and www.icdeolhpu.org pdf format, and ensure that he/she is eligible in terms of the conditions/provisions mentioned in the Prospectus
