KARTET 2023 – Education Department of Karnataka has released the notification for Karnataka Teachers Eligibility Test (KARTET) 2023 and invites applications for the eligible candidates aspiring to be teachers for primary and upper primary School across the state of Karnataka.

- KARTET Notification 2023 Release Date: 14th July 2023
- Online Application Starts: 14th July 2023
- Last Date to Submit Online form: 05th August 2023
- Karnataka TET Admit Card: 23rd August to 1st September 2023
- Karnataka TET Exam Date: 03rd September 2023
Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
- Candidate must be a citizen of India
- Candidate must satisfy the local/non-local status requirement as per mentioned by the authority
Lower Primary Level (Class I-V)
- Applicants must have successfully completed Senior Sec./10+2 with at least 45% marks or appear in the final year of 4-year B.Ed./ 2-year diploma in education (D.El.Ed) / 2-year diploma in Education (Special Education).
- Must have successfully completed graduation BA/B.Sc with at least 50% marks and those who have successfully completed B.ED can also apply
Upper Primary Level (Class VI-VIII)
- Applicants must have successfully cleared Graduation BA/B.Sc with at least 50% marks and must have completed B.Ed from some recognized University.
- OR those who are appearing in the final 4-year B.El.Ed/BA (Ed.)/ B.Ed B.Sc. (Ed.), (SP) with 50% marks in BA/ B.Sc may apply for Karnataka TET

Application Process
- Candidates are advised to go through the instructions carefully before applying Online application through department website www.schooleducation.kar.in
- Fee once remitted shall not be refunded or adjusted in future tests under any circumstances

Karnataka TET Exam Pattern
- Karnataka TET 2023 will take place in the online mode.
- Duration – 2 hr 30 min (For Each Paper)
- The paper will have only objective type questions.
- There will be 150 questions in the paper that a candidate will solve.
- Candidate will get 1 mark for every correct answer. There will be no negative marking.
Structure of Paper-I
- Child Development and Pedagogy will have 30 questions for 30 marks.
- Language I will have 30 questions for 30 marks.
- Language II (English) will have 30 questions for 30 marks.
- Mathematics will have 30 questions for 30 marks.
- Environmental Studies will have 30 questions for 30 marks.
Structure of Paper-II
- Child Development and Pedagogy will have 30 questions for 30 marks.
- Language I will have 30 questions for 30 marks.
- Language II (English) will have 30 questions for 30 marks.
- Mathematics and Science OR Social Studies will have 60 questions for 60 marks
