Sachin Tendulkar was born in Rajapur Saraswat Brahmin Maharashtrian family on April 24, 1973, in Dadar, Bombay. His mother, Ranji, worked for an insurance company, while his father, Ramesh Tendulkar, was a well-known Marathi poet and novelist. Tendulkar is the youngest of four siblings, including his sister Savita, brothers Nitin and Ajit, and himself. At a young age, he was a mischievous child, and his older brother Ajit forced him to play cricket. The main objective was to keep him interested and stop him from making more ruckus.
Ramakant Achrekar, a well-known cricket coach, inspired Sachin to start playing the game. Sachin made his Ranji debut when he was 14 years old, playing for the Bombay team.
