Eligibility Criteria
- Application must have a Postgraduate Degree from a recognized University of India.
- The criteria for qualifying examination for each of the PhD programs is given in BBAU PhD Regulation (Annexure-I).

Steps to be followed to fill the Online Application
- Instructions and Important Links shall guide the candidate to fill the Application Form. So the candidates are advised to read them very carefully and follow them strictly.
- Step 1 – Candidates are first required to go to the BBAU Lucknow Website http://www.bbau.ac.in/
- Step 2 – Candidates will be directed to the web page with the following information. Please make a note of the Important Information.

- Step 5 – Payment of Application Fee
Application Fee
- Registration fee (non-refundable) for the Computer-based Test (CBT) is following
- Open Category – Rs.1000 INR (per course)
- SC/ ST/ PH Category – Rs.500 INR (per course)
- Mode of Payment – Online Payment Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card
Selection Process
- The applicant is provisionally allowed to appear for the entrance test and their candidature is subject to the fulfillment of the minimum eligibility criteria at the time of admission.
- Merit list for interview will be prepared based on the total marks obtained in entrance test (70% weightage), marks obtained in Bachelor’s degree (2% weightage), Master’s degree(3% weightage) and weightage for NET/M.Phil./JRF (JRF-10 marks, M.Phil+NET-7 marks, NET-5 marks) and Interview of 15 Marks.
- Candidates will be called for an interview in 1:5 ratio based on the declared number of category wise seats.
Entrance Exam
- There shall be an online entrance examination (CBT mode) for PhD programs
- 2 Online Exam will be of 2 hrs. duration consisting of 100 objective type (Multiple choice) Questions
- The syllabus of the Entrance Test will be 50% of research methodology (Part A) and 50% shall be subject-specific (Part B). [As per BBAU PhD Regulation]
- There shall be NO NEGATIVE MARKING
