Eligibility Criteria
PhD in Engineering
- Applicants with a master’s degree in engineering in the discipline concerned or in an allied discipline/ area must have a minimum of 60% marks or 6.0 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the master’s degree level.
- Applicants with a bachelor’s degree in engineering in the discipline concerned or in an allied discipline/area must have a minimum of 75% marks or 7.5 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the bachelor’s degree level
- A minimum of 65% marks or 6.5 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the master’s degree level,
- A minimum of 60% marks or 6.0 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the bachelor’s degree level.
PhD in Pharmacy
- Applicants with a master’s degree in pharmacy or in an allied discipline/area must have a minimum of 60% marks or 6.0 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the master’s degree level.
- Applicants with a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy must have a minimum of 75% marks or 7.5 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the bachelor’s degree level
PhD in Sciences
- Applicants with a master’s degree in science in the discipline concerned or in an allied discipline/area must have a minimum of 60% marks or 6.0 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the master’s degree level.
- Applicants with four year bachelor’s degree in Science in the discipline concerned or in an allied discipline/area must have a minimum of 75% marks or 7.5 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the bachelor’s degree level
PhD in Humanistic Studies
- Applicants with a Master’s degree in a relevant subject or allied subjects with a minimum CPI of 6.00 on a 10.0 point scale (or 60% marks) in the qualifying degree.
- Applicants with a Master’s degree in Science or allied subjects with a minimum CPI of 6.00 on a 10.0 point scale (or 60% marks) in the qualifying degree.
- Applicants with more than two years of professional experience, the minimum requirement shall be 70% marks or 7.0 CPI (on a 10 point scale) at bachelor degree provided the degree is from an Institution funded by the Central Government.
PhD in Interdisciplinary/ Systems Engineering
- Applicants with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in any branch of Engineering must have a minimum of 60% marks or 6.0 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the master’s degree level.
- Applicants with a bachelor’s degree in any branch of engineering must have a minimum of 75% marks or 7.5 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the bachelor’s degree level
PhD in Industrial Management
- Applicants with a bachelor’s degree in any branch of engineering and a master’s degree in any branch of engineering/ management must have a minimum of 60% or 6.0 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the master’s degree level.
- Applicants with a bachelor’s degree in any branch of engineering must have a minimum of 75% marks or 7.5 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the bachelor’s degree level
PhD in Bio-chemical Eng/Bio-medical Eng/Materials Sci. & Tech
- Applicants with a master’s degree in the discipline concerned or in an allied discipline must have a minimum of 60% or 6.0 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the master’s degree level.
- Applicants with a bachelor’s degree in the discipline concerned or in an allied discipline must have a minimum of 75% marks or 7.5 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the bachelor’s degree level.
Reservations
For SC/ST/OBC Candidates
- In each discipline, 15% seats are reserved for SC, 7.5% seats for ST and 27% seats for OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates.
- SC/ST/OBC candidates must also satisfy the eligibility requirements for admission. However, while considering their cases, only suitability for the program is ensured and the SC/ST/OBC candidates are not compared with those belonging to other categories.
- Further, a relaxation of 5% marks or 0.5 CPI (on a 10 point scale) shall be admissible on the marks obtained in qualifying degree for SC and ST candidates in the admission

Instructions for filling Form
Step 1
- Register into the admission portal
- Applicants MUST REGISTER into the admission portal in order to submit the application online.
- Click on the “Register” link to OPEN the registration page; Enter your valid Email address and create a password of eight character length. All correspondences related to your application will be sent to the provided email ID only.
- After you have successfully completed the registration, the login credentials (username and password) will be mailed to your Email ID. In case you do not find the mail in the “Inbox”, please check in the “Spam” folder of your email account.
Step 2
- Fill in Personal Details and Upload your photograph and signature
- Fill in your Full name, Father’s name, Mother’s Name and Date of birth as per your High School Certificate.
- Select your Gender, Nationality, and Category from the “drop-lists” and Click the option (yes or no) for Physically challenged.
- Enter your 10-digit Mobile number; Enter your complete Correspondence address and Permanent address. Avoid typing single (‘) or double quote (”) symbols in the address fields.
- Upload your color photograph and signature (File size of each MUST BE less than 50kb) by clicking the appropriate “Browse” button. You can replace or modify the images later on, before submitting the form, if needed.
Step 3
- Pay Online the Application Processing Fee
- The application processing fee (Rs.500/- for GEN/OBC/EWS candidates and Rs.250/- for SC/ST/Physically Disabled candidates) should be paid Online only and is Non-Refundable.

Selection Criteria
- Admission will be based on the interview of the candidates shortlisted by the Department/School concerned.
