SGPGIMS Lucknow PhD Admission 2024 – Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow invites applications for admission to the PhD program for the year 2024 (Session-I).

 

About SGPGIMS

  • Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences has been established under the State Legislature Act in 1983 and is named after Sanjay Gandhi.It was created by the state of Uttar Pradesh as a centre of excellence for providing medical care, education and research of the highest order.The Institute provides postgraduate training to medical and nonmedical professionals.The Institute functions as a State University and is member of the Association of Indian Universities and is recognised by University Grants Commission

Important Dates

  • Last Date of Submission of Application Form at SPGIMS Lucknow: 15th March 2024
  • Date of Interview expected in Month of March, 2024

 

Category of Enrolment

  • Category 1: Candidates who fulfill essential qualifications and have a letter of award for fellowship and contingency by any Government funding agency for a minimum period of three years.
  • Category 2: Candidates who fulfill essential qualifications as stated above AND if they are working in an extramural project funded by Government / UN agencies as JRF/SRF Research Assistant at SGPGI. The enrollment should be done within one year of start of the project and the total project duration should be of at least 3 years, but will not be eligible for any fellowship or contingency from the Institute at any time.
  • Category 3: Candidates having Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) directly from Government funding agencies and have applied through SGPGI for work to be done at SGPGI. The admission will be considered within one year of the sanction of the SRF ship by the funding agency. 

 

Eligibility Criteria

 

Qualification :

  • The candidates who have postgraduate qualifications (MBBS /BDS /MD /MS /MDS /DM /MC.h./M.Sc. in nutrition/M.Sc. in Statistics/ M.V.Sc./MSW/ MBA and allied subjects or Diploma of National Board of Examination, recognized by the Medical Council of India or similar equivalent bodies.
  • Master’s degree in Science /M.Tech. (Biotechnology) from a recognized University/Institution in Science subject/ Health Sciences / Allied Sciences / Related Physical or Engineering Sciences/Master in Hospital Administration/MBA in Hospital Administration).

Qualifying Marks:

  • The candidates should have minimum 50% aggregate marks or its equivalent overall Grade Point Average / Cumulative Grade Point Average in M.B.B.S. (for medical graduates) OR M.Sc./M. Tech./MSW/MBA/MHA as applicable.

  • Interested candidate may apply with curriculum vitae along with the Xerox copies of all documents (self-attested) latest by 15.03.2024, to Office of the Faculty I/C Research, Room No. – 209, Research Cell, First Floor, ADM. Block, SGPGIMS, Raebareli Road, Lucknow-226014 through Speed post. Eligible candidates will be informed by Email/Speed post for Institute Interview Board. Interview to be expected in the month of March, 2024.
