Important Dates

  • Last date for submission of ONLINE/OFFLINE application forms is 31st August 2023
  • List of candidates eligible to appear for the interview and written test to be notified on 12 September 2023
  • Written examination will be held on 04th of October 2023.
  • Offline Interview/Document verification will be held on 5th October 2023.
  • List of successful candidates of the written examination and interview will be notified on 3rd November 2023.

 

Eligibility Criteria

  • A consistently good academic record with a Master’s Degree in relevant subjects with at least 55% marks.
  • A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50% or an equivalent relaxation of grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/ Differently-abled and other categories of candidates as per UGC guidelines.
  • The eligibility marks of 55% (or equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible based only on the grace mark procedure
  • William Carey University, Meghalaya adheres to the National / State-level reservation policy, as applicable

 

Application Process

  • Applicants may apply either Online or Offline.
  • Applicants can view the Prospectus, Admission Guidelines and PhD Admission Procedure by visiting the website www.williamcareyuniversity.ac.in
  • The final selection of applicants will be made on the basis of the Entrance test and Personal Interview.
  • Based on the applications received, selected candidates will be intimated through email for Entrance test, Personal Interview and Document verification.
  • Minimum six-month compulsory coursework without any exception.

 

Entrance Exam Pattern

  • An Entrance Test of two hours duration shall be conducted with qualifying marks at 50%.
  • The syllabus of Entrance Test shall consist of 50% of Research Methodology and 50% shall be subject specific.
