Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality/Citizenship: A candidate must be either:
- A citizen of India, or 6.2 A subject of Nepal, or
- A subject of Bhutan, or
- A Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India
- Provided that a candidate belonging to categories 6.2, 6.3, 6.4 and 6.5 above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India
Educational Qualification
- Sub-Inspector (RO): Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized University with Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science as subjects.
- Sub-Inspector (Crypto): Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized University with Mathematics and Physics as subjects.
- Sub-Inspector (Technical): B.E./B.Tech or Equivalent in Electronics or Telecommunication or Computer Science as main subject OR Qualified Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers or Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers
- Sub-Inspector (Civil) (Male): Intermediate with three years diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Board / Institution or University or equivalent.
- Assistant Sub-Inspector (Technical): 10TH Class pass from a recognized Board with three years diploma in Radio Engineering or Electronics or Computers, from a recognized Institute. OR BSc. Degree in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized University
- Assistant Sub-Inspector (Draughtsman): Pass in Matric with English, General Science and Mathematics from a recognized board with three years diploma in Draughtsman Course (Civil/ Mechanical Engineering) from a Govt. recognized Polytechnic.
Age Limit
- Sub Inspector (Radio Operator/Crypto/Technical) – Below 30 years as on closing date of applications i.e.21/05/2023 i.e. candidate should not born before 22/05/1993 and for SI(Civil)-21 to 30 Years as on closing date of application i.e. 21/05/2023 i.e. candidate should not born before 22/05/1993 or after 21/05/2002.
- Asst. Sub Inspector (Technical/Draughtsman) – Between 18 to 25 years as on closing date of application i.e 21/05/2023 i.e. candidate should not born before 22/05/1998 or after 21/05/2005
Application Process
- Applications must be submitted in ONLINE mode at the official website of the CRPF. For detailed instructions for submission of online application, please refer to Annexure-I of this advertisement.
- Candidates can apply for the post/trade provided they fulfill the prescribed eligibility conditions.
- The application portal will be operational from 01/05/2023 (1000 hours) to 21/05/2023 (till 2355 hours).
- The CRPF will not be responsible for the candidates not being able to submit their applications within the last date on account of the aforesaid reasons or for any other reason beyond the control of the CRPF.
- Before submission of the online application, candidates must check that they have filled correct details in each field of the form. After submission of the online application form, no change/correction/modification will be allowed under any circumstances. Requests received in this regard in any form like Post, Fax, Email, by hand, etc shall not be entertained
Application Fee
- Examination Fees @ Rs 200/- for Sub Inspector (Group-‘B’) and Rs 100/- for Asst. Sub Inspector (Group-‘C’), for male candidates of General, EWS and OBC only
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST, Ex-servicemen and Female candidates of all categories are exempted
Selection Process
- Written Examination (CBT)
- Physical Standard Test / Physical Efficiency Test,
- Documents Verification and
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME)
Exam Pattern
- Questions will be of Objective Multiple choice type, Questions will be set in Hindi and English.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer for SI (RO / Crypto / Tech) posts and 0.25. marks for each wrong answer for SI (Civil), and ASI (Tech / Draughtsman) posts.
- One paper carrying 200 marks. (Two marks for each Question) (Duration: 02 Hours for both Part-I & II)
