NCL Recruitment 2023 Notification OUT, Apply Online for 1140 Trade (ITI) Apprentice Trainees Post
NCL Recruitment 2023 for Trade Apprentice – Northern Coalfields Limited (A Mini Ratna Company), a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Coal invites online application from candidates who have passed their ITI (NCVT/SCVT Trade Certificate) course from any of the Institute which is functional in either of the State i.e. Uttar Pradesh or Madhya Pradesh and are meeting the stipulated eligibility criterion for engagement of Trade apprentices. NCL has notified recruitment of 1140 Apprentice Trainees. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online for these posts on or before October 15, 2023. The online application process will commence on October 5, 2023.

Eligibility Criteria
- For filling the above notified positions of Trade Apprentice Trainees priority will be given to such candidates who have passed their ITI/Trade certificates from an institute which is operational in Sonbhadra District of Uttar Pradesh state or Singrauli District of Madhya Pradesh state.
Age Criteria
- Minimum 18 years and maximum 26 years as on t h e Cut-Off date 31/08/2023. That is, the Candidate/Applicant should have been born on or in between 01/09/1997 to 01/09/2005.
Concession & Relaxation
- Upper age is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates for the Slots/Seats reserved for them
- Candidates belonging to PwBD categories shall be given age relaxation up-to 10 years (up to 15 years for SC/ST and up to 13 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer Candidates)
- The candidates who have undergone Apprenticeship earlier or pursuing Apprenticeship Training in an Industry as per the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 or having job experience for a period of 1 year or more at the time of applying are NOT eligible.
Educational Qualification
- Electronic Mechanic: Matriculation or equivalent under 10+2 system with Trade Certificate in Electronic Mechanic Trade
- Electrician: Matriculation or equivalent under 10+2 system with Trade Certificate in Electrician Trade
- Fitter: Matriculation or equivalent under 10+2 system with Trade Certificate in Fitter Trade
- Welder: Matriculation or equivalent under 10+2 system with Trade Certificate in Welder Trade
- Motor Mechanic: Matriculation or equivalent under 10+2 system with Trade Certificate in Motor Mechanic Trade
- Auto Electrician: Matriculation or equivalent under 10+2 system with Trade Certificate in Auto Electrician Trade
Application Procedure
- Candidates meeting the stipulated and prescribed eligibility criteria should visit our NCL website www.nclcil.in and apply online following the schedule as provided under Table 5.
- Paper based applications will not be accepted.
- Candidates have to visit NCL website and then follow the path, {Home Page>Menu>Career>Apprenticeship Training}, for applying online.
- Firstly, a candidate has to register themselves on the Online portal and to create an online account for which they are required to have a valid mobile number and a valid email. After registering successfully they may apply for the positions of which they are fulfilling the eligibility criterion.
- Candidates shall have to provide all relevant details like Date of Birth, Name as available in Matriculation certificate, Address for correspondence, permanent address, Academic details, Scanned photograph, Scanned Signature etc.
- After successfully filling the online application form they have to confirm a declaration regarding the correctness of information provided online, hence the applying candidates are advised to go through the details provided in preview before final submission. After final submission no alteration in information provided would be possible
- After final submission of an online application candidate must save a Hard and soft copy of his/her online application for future purposes.
Selection Methodology
- As explained under “General Eligibility requirements” only such candidates who have passed ITI Trade certificate from any institute which is either functional in Uttar Pradesh or Madhya Pradesh state may apply but the positions of Apprentice Trainees will be filled by preferring such candidates who have passed their respective qualifying ITI Trade test from any Institute which is functional either in the Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh or Singrauli District of Madhya Pradesh
- Selection of applying candidates for their engagement as Trade Apprentices would be based on the merit drawn on the basis of scores whereas, the scores of applying candidates will be calculated by averaging of percentage marks obtained in qualifying examination (ITI Trade test) and Matriculation by each respective applying individual candidate in respect of their post applied
- In case of tie of scores, tie will be resolved firstly by preferring older candidates (Born earlier) and if the tie remains unresolved then tie will be resolved by preferring the candidates who have attained the qualifying trade test earlier. No canvassing or influencing would be entertained and the same may render for disqualification of candidate by rejecting the candidature
