RBI Assistant Recruitment 2023 – The Reserve Bank of India invites applications from eligible candidates for the recruitment of 450 posts of ‘Assistant’ in various branches of the Reserve Bank of India across India for the year 2023. Selection for the post will be through a country-wide competitive examination consisting of Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Language Proficiency Test (LPT). Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: a candidate must be either i. a citizen of India, or ii. a subject of Nepal, or iii. a subject of Bhutan, or iv. a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or v. a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India

Educational Qualification 

  • At least a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PwBD candidates) in the aggregate and the knowledge of word processing on PC. ii. A candidate belonging to the Ex-servicemen category (except dependents of ex-servicemen) should either be a graduate from a recognized University or should have passed the matriculation or its equivalent exam of the Armed Forces and rendered at least 15 years of defence service.
  • Candidates applying for post in a particular recruiting Office should be proficient in the language (i.e., know to read, write, speak and understand the language) of the state/ any of the states falling under the recruiting Office.

Age Limit

  • Between 20 and 28 years. Candidates born not earlier than 02/09/1995 and not later than 01/09/2003 (both days inclusive) are only eligible to apply

 

Application Process

  • Candidates can apply online only at the link: “Recruitment for the post of Assistant 2023”, and no other mode of application will be accepted.
  • Interested and eligible candidates must visit the official website of RBI at rbi.org.in before October 04, 2023. Candidates are advised to keep a hard copy of the application form for future reference.
  • To register an application, choose the tab “Click here for New Registration” and enter Name, Contact details and Email-id.
  • A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Candidates should note down the Provisional Registration Number and Password.
  • Candidates can proceed to fill other details of the Application Form

 

Application Fee

  • SC/ST/PWD/EXS (Intimation Charges) – Rs.50/-
  • OBC/General/EWS Candidates – Rs.450/-
  • Payment Mode – Pay the Examination Fee through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking

 

Scheme of Selection

  • Selection will be through Preliminary examination, Main examination and Language Proficiency Test (LPT).

RBI Exam Pattern

Language Proficiency Test (LPT)

  • Candidates provisionally shortlisted from the main on-line exam will have to undergo a Language Proficiency Test. The language proficiency test will be conducted in the Official / Local Language/s of the State concerned as detailed in Annex-IV.

Exam Centres

  • The Exam (Preliminary as well as main) will be conducted online in venues across many centres in India. The tentative list of Exam centres is available in Annex V.

 

Pay Scale

  • Selected Candidates will draw a starting basic pay of ₹20,700/- per month in the scale of ₹20700 – 1200 (3) – 24300 – 1440 (4) – 30060 – 1920 (6) – 41580 – 2080 (2) – 45740 – 2370 (3) – 52850 – 2850 (1) – 55700 and other allowances, as admissible from time to time
  • At present, initial Monthly Gross Emoluments (without HRA) for Assistant will be approximately ₹47,849/-.
