Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates intending to apply for the post of Probationary Clerk should ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria specified by Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd. in this notification
- It is expressly clarified that the ultimate authority for recruitment is the Bank itself. The Bank may, in its sole discretion, reject the candidature of anyone.
Educational Qualification (as on 31.08.2023)
- Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from any recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate.
Age (as on 31.08.2023)
- Must be not more than 24 years in the case of graduates; 26 years in the case of Post-graduates.
Age Relaxation
- Two years for Most Backward Class (MBC) / Backward Class (BC) and 5 years for SC/ST Candidates
Experience
- Preferable, but not mandatory
Application Process
- Candidates can apply online only from 16.10.2023 to 06.11.2023 and no other mode of application will be accepted
- Candidates should go to the Bank’s website www.tmbnet.in/tmb_careers/ click on the option “APPLY ONLINE” which will open a new screen.
- To register an application, choose the tab “Click here for New Registration” and enter Name, Contact details and Email-id. A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen
- Candidates should note down the Provisional Registration Number and Password. An Email & SMS indicating the Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent
- Candidates are advised to carefully fill and verify the details filled in the online application themselves as no change will be possible/ entertained after clicking the COMPLETE REGISTRATION BUTTON

Selection Procedure
- Exam Structure: As per IBPS Probationary Clerk Standard (Single Examination)
- Medium of Exam: English only
- Mode of Selection: Will be shortlisted based on marks obtained in the written test and will be called for personal interview
Phase-I Online Exam
- Reasoning Composite – 40 Questions & 40 Marks
- English Language – 40 Questions & 40 Marks
- Computer Knowledge – 40 Questions & 40 Marks
- General Awareness (with special reference to banking) – 40 Questions & 40 Marks
- Numerical Ability – 40 Questions & 40 Marks
- Total – 200 Questions & 200 Marks
- Time: Composite time of 120 minutes
- Medium of Exam: English Only
Phase-II – Personal Interview (English)
- The Interview centres will be communicated in the interview call letter
