CBSE Compartment Exam 2023 for Class 10 and 12 to be held in July
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the result of Class 10 and 12 Board Exam 2023 on May 12, 2023. As per the result data, 87.33 % candidates passed in class 12 and 93.12% candidates passed in Class 10. No of candidates placed in compartment exam for class 12 is 7.57% and in class 10 is 6.22%.

The Board has changed the nomenclature of the CBSE compartment examination to supplementary examination after getting the recommendations made by the National Education Policy 2020.
As per the notification, CBSE will be conducting a compartment exam in the month of July 2023. The supplementary examination will be held on the syllabus of main examination 2023.
CBSE supplementary exam forms 2023 will be released in the due time. Students are advised to keep checking the official website: cbse.gov.in for the regular updates.

CBSE supplementary exams are conducted to give students another opportunity to improve their results. This is conducted for the students who are placed in the compartment category. Students will be allowed to improve their performance in 1 subject in the Compartment examination.
Further, Students who were not able to qualify top 5 subjects and were declared to pass considering their marks in the 6th subject will also be eligible to appear for the compartment exam to improve their performance in the failed exam.
