Last date to apply for CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme extended
CBSE extends last date to apply for Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the date of Scholarship Scheme for the Single Girl Child. Now the eligible students have time till October 31, 2019 in order to apply for the same. The CBSE grants Merit Scholarships to single girl child every year. The students have time till November 25, 2019 in order to submit the hard copies. Further information is available on the official website of CBSE www.cbse.nic.in
According to the earlier notification the date for this Scholarship exam was supposed to end on October 18, 2019. It is valid for all the girl students who have cleared their Class X Board exams from those schools which are affiliated under the CBSE.
The extended notice issued by the CBSE states that the girl students are eligible to apply for both the schemes which are – Renewal of Online applications of CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child X Pass and CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child for + 2 studies – 2019.
This scheme provides scholarship to those meritorious students who are only single girl child of their parents. In order to be eligible for this scholarship, the candidates must have scored at least 60 percent in their previous classes for further education during Classes X and XII. The scholarship is aimed at recognising the efforts of those parents who are promoting the education among their only daughters. As a part of this scholarship, the students get Rs 500 per month.
