Breaking News on CBSE Term 2 Board Exams 2022, Class 10 and 12 Exams Commence From 26 April 2022
Here is important news on the latest development with regard to the conduct of board exams 2022.
In July 2021, the CBSE had introduced two term exams for Classes 9 to 12, the syllabus was divided into two parts to reduce the burden on the students. This was done primarily, keeping in mind that students have been studying online for the last two years and the quality of education was getting compromised. In order to maintain the standards, the CBSE had announced offline exams but this has faced a lot of opposition.
The social media is flooded with requests for cancellation of board exams, many want the result to be based on the internal assessment and class tests. A few child rights activists moved the Supreme Court of India with the plea that the Board exam 2022 be cancelled.
However, The SC has decided not to intervene in the matter. Taking the decision, the Supreme Court bench headed by Justice AM Khanwilkar has dismissed the plea and called it “ill advised, premature”. Dismissing the plea, Justices AM Khanwilkar called the petition ill advised as it creates ‘false hope’.
“These petitions create false hopes, let authorities take a decision. You can challenge that order,” Justice AM Khanwilkar noted. Plea was heard by the 3 judge bench of Justices AM Khanwilkar, Dinesh Maheshwari and CT Ravikumar. It should be noted that many state education boards have already commenced the board exams. On the contrary, students cite loss of education due to the online mode and closure of schools as the primary reason for the plea for cancellation of exams
Finally, the class 10 and 12 Board exams for term 2 will commence from 26 April 2022, as notified by the CBSE.
