Exam date of JEE Advanced 2021 may postponed amid postponed exams
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur the exam conducting body for JEE Advanced 2021 is mulling over changing the examination date for JEE Advanced 2021 which was scheduled to be held on July 3, 2021 following the postponement of JEE Main 2021 April session exam and Class 12 board exams
A three-member committee of IIT Kharagpur responsible for the JEE Advanced 2021 met to review and analyse the current situation. The same was done after various calls were received from concerned candidates over the exam date.
Chairman of JEE Advanced 2021 Debashish Chakraborty shared that, “As things stand, we are likely to change our date from July 3 because there has to be a reasonable gap between Mains and Advanced.”
The chairman also confirmed that the information regarding the same would be shared on the official website jeeadv.ac.in, as and when confirmed.
With the COVID-19 cases steadily rising and crossing 3 lakh daily mark for nearly a week almost all the State Boards along with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) have postponed their board examinations. JEE Main 2021 April exam has also been postponed. Looking at the situation, this may also lead to the possibility of postponement of JEE Main 2021 May exam.
