Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on behalf of APSCHE announces Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (AP PGCET) 2024 for Admission to PG Courses, Apply now

 

AP PGCET 2024 – Online Applications are invited from the candidates who have passed or appearing for the final semester (year) examinations in the qualifying (undergraduate) degree to appear for AP PGCET-2024 entrance test for admission into P.G. Courses (M.A., M. Com., M.Sc., MCJ, M.Li..Sc., M. Ed., M.P. Ed., M.Sc.Tech., etc.) offered by constituent and affiliated [Government and Private] Colleges including Minority Educational Institutions in the State of Andhra Pradesh. The Entrance test will be conducted online and is a Computer Based Test (CBT).

• M.Sc Data science : B.Sc with Mathematics as main subject along with any two of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Statistics, Electronics, Computer Science (OR) B.Tech. CSE/ IT/ Electronics)
• M.Sc. Geography (B.A. Stream) : Any Degree (or) Passed B.A with Geography as one of the subjects.
• M.Sc. Geography (B.Sc. Stream) : Any Degree (or) Passed B.Sc. with any three Science subjects.
• M.Sc. Geography : Passed any graduate degree i.e., B.A./B.Com./ B.Sc./B.L./B.Tech./ B.Pharmacy etc. recognized by any Government University. (In Andhra University, 50% of the seats should be allocated for candidates with Geography as one of the subjects in their under graduation)

 

Application Process

• Before filling and submission of online application form, the candidates are advised to go through the relevant instructions and Demo Application form available in the website: https://cets.apsche.ap.gov.in
• The eligibility of the candidates is not verified / decided at the time of application and during the entrance test. The verification will be done only during the admissions. Hence, candidates are advised to ensure that they are eligible for the course/subject they are applying for.

 

Application Fee

• Registration Fee for each Test is Rs. 850/- for OC, Rs. 750/- for BC candidates and Rs. 650/- for SC/ST/PH candidates
• Mode of Payment : Online through payment gateway (Credit/Debit Cards/ Net Banking)

 

Exam Pattern

• The entrance tests in all the subjects (except M.P.Ed) will consist of 100 multiple choice objective type questions for 100 marks (one mark each) and is a Computer Based Test (CBT) for 90 minutes duration.
• M.P.Ed., course admission shall be made based on the marks obtained in the common entrance test (Theory) conducted during AP PGCET-2024 and the achievements in sports during their study at Degree (Graduation)/ Post Graduation /B.P.Ed./B.P.E level. The common entrance test (Theory) will be for 100 Marks and weightage of marks for sports achievement will be for 100 marks. The AP PGCET-2024 test will be conducted on the syllabus of B.P.Ed.,/ B.P.E., course. The question paper shall be set with 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs) and is a Computer Based Test (CBT) for 90 minutes duration. Each question carries one mark. The sports achievement certificates (original) will be verified and the marks will be awarded for sports achievement. Hence, the candidates should bring their original sports achievement certificates along with evidence documents like Form-I for Internationals, Form-II for Nationals and Form III for Inter-University participants etc., on the day informed to the candidates through AP PGECET-2024 website later. The merit list will be prepared basing on the aggregate of 200 marks.
