- There will be no negative marking in the SWAYAM Exam 2024 in the MCQs section.
- Unanswered/ unattempted questions will be given no marks.

Swayam Exam Pattern 2024 : Types of Questions

NPTEL Swayam Exam Pattern 2024 – Marking Scheme
Candidates must score an average assignment score of 40 or above to pass and be certified in the NPTEL Exam The exam is held online. Candidates must answer the Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), fill-in-the-blanks, and definition questions. There are negative marks for wrong answers.The candidate is awarded with one mark for every right answer and 1/3 mark is deducted for every wrong answer. The candidates must score an average assignment score of 10/25 or higher and an exam score of 30/75 or higher to make a student eligible to get the certificate. For every wrong answer, 1/3 mark is deducted from the total score. The NPTEL exam 2024 will be held for 2 hours.

Section 3 – 2.5 marks or 3 marks
NPTEL Swayam Exam Pattern 2024 : Types of Questions

How to register for SWAYAM 2024?
You can complete your registration with the help of the following steps:-

Candidates need to visit the NTA official website to start their registration process.
Step 2- Click ‘Student’ from the Menu bar
Once you reach the official web portal, click ‘Student’ from the Menu bar on the homepage to start the SWAYAM 2024 Exam Registration process.
Step 3- Click on the SWAYAM Link
Click on ‘Study Webs of Active–Learning for Young Aspiring Minds’ link under NTA Exams section which will lead to a redirected page to open.
Step 4- Click on ‘Registration’ tab
On the new web page, click on the ‘Sign In/Registration’ tab on the top right corner.
Step 5- Click on ‘Sign Up Now’
Click on the ‘Sign Up Now’ link, which will lead to a new web form. On this, enter your Details to create a SWAYAM account.
Step 6- Complete the Payment
After entering all your details, candidates can upload necessary documents and complete the payment process. Your Registration Process is now complete.General candidates are required to pay ₹1000/- as the examination fees and SC/ST/PwD/OBC-(NCL) candidates are required to pay ₹500/- as the examination fees. The payment can be done through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, UPI or Paytm Services.
