IPL
Pant attracted a lot of attention for his daring batting approach in domestic cricket and for the India U-19 team. So much so that he earned 1.9 crore rupees from his maiden IPL contract. Pant was under a lot of pressure due to his significant IPL ludicrous price. Pant, however, triumphed above everything and exceeded everyone’s expectations.
Despite the fact that Pant’s first season wasn’t as successful as he had hoped, the Delhi boy’s second, the 2017 IPL, ended up being a magical one. The Delhi Capitals kept Pant for his third season, and he served as the team’s lone bright spot during an otherwise gloomy campaign. Through his IPL efforts, Rishabh was able to secure a spot in the Indian team.
In the 2019 IPL, he scored 488 runs with a strike rate of over 160 and three half-centuries, continuing the form he left behind the season before. He had a little trouble hitting the hardball in the year 2020. Despite scoring close to 350 runs during the entire season, Pant’s standards were far lower than his strike rate of 113.
The team finished first in the standings at the end of the league stage with him serving as captain the next year. DC, however, was eliminated in the second qualifier versus KKR. He was retained in the 2022 mega auction and had a decent run with the bat. The hard-hitter has scored 2838 IPL career runs with a career strike rate of 148.
