What is Editing in English Grammar?
In editing, students have to find the error in the sentence / part of the sentence. The error or wrong word has to be written in the space provided. Then the student has to identify the correct word that should replace the wrong word. This correct word should be grammatically correct. The correct word has to be written in the space provided for.

Marking scheme of Editing Questions
Each question of editing has two blanks to be filled. The first blank is of the error and the second blank is for the correction. Each blank carries half a mark. So every single question of editing carries a weightage of one mark.
