UP CNET 2024 Important Dates

Eligibility Criteria for UP CNET 2024
- To appear for the UP CNET 2024 exam, candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
For B.Sc. Nursing

- Age: – Minimum age for admission is 17 years on or before 31st December 2024.
- Minimum qualifications for admission are as per INC Regulation: –
- Candidates with Science who have passed qualifying 12th Standard examination (10+2) and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) taken together and passed in English individually from any recognized board.
- In respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) taken together shall be 40% instead of 45% for General Category candidates.
- English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for eligibility for admission in B.Sc. Nursing.
- Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by central government having Science subjects and English only.
- Colour Blind candidates are eligible provided that colour corrective contact lens and spectacles are worn by such candidates.
- The selection of candidates will be subject to medical fitness. No selected candidate will be permitted to join the course unless declared medically fit by the Medical Board constituted by the Government Medical College or the District CMO.
- Married candidates are also eligible.
For Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing

- Age: – Minimum age for admission is 17 years on or before 31st December 2024.
- Minimum qualifications for admission are as per INC Regulation: –
- Candidates should have passed Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate (12th Standard examination) or (10+2) or an equivalent exam recognized by the University for this purpose. Those
- who have done 10+1 in or before 1986 will be eligible for admission.
- Obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council of Uttar Pradesh (UP Nurses and Midwives Council).
- For candidates who have obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council outside Uttar Pradesh state will be eligible if their institution/college is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
- A male nurse, trained before the implementation of the new integrated course besides being registered as a nurse with State Nurses Registration Council, shall produce evidence of training approved by Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of midwifery in any one of the following areas:
- O.T. Techniques
- Ophthalmic Nursing
- Leprosy Nursing
- TB Nursing
- Psychiatric Nursing
- Neurological and Neurosurgical Nursing
- Community Health Nursing
- Cancer Nursing
- Orthopaedic Nursing

For M.Sc. Nursing

- Minimum qualifications for admission for M.Sc. Nursing are as per INC Regulation: –

- The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent with State Nursing Registration Council of Uttar Pradesh state (UP Nurses and Midwives Council).
- If the candidate is a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council outside Uttar Pradesh state, they will be eligible if their institution/college is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
- The Minimum education requirements shall be the passing of B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
- Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
- Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing. Minimum qualifications for admission for Nurse Practitioner in Critical Care (NPCC) Nursing Course:

- The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent with State Nursing Registration Council of Uttar Pradesh state (UP Nurses and Midwives Council).
- If the candidate is a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council outside Uttar Pradesh state, they will be eligible if their institution/ college is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
- The Minimum education requirements shall be the passing of B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
- Minimum one year of clinical experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing preferably in any critical care setting.
- Minimum one year of clinical experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing preferably in any critical care setting.
UP CNET 2024 Application Process
- Candidates must read the instructions for filling the online application form carefully before filling the form.
- Application shall be submitted through the online mode only via website www.abvmuup.edu.in
- No application form shall be received by post or by any other mode.
- Candidates must provide all correct information in the application form, if any information is found incorrect or wrong at any stage then the candidature /admission will be cancelled.
Application Fee
- For Unreserved/Other Backward Classes (UR/OBC) : Rs. 3000/-
- For SC/ST/PwD : Rs. 2000/-
- Mode of Payment: Candidates can Pay Exam fee using Credit card, Debit card, Net banking.
UP CNET 2024 Exam Pattern
- Date: 14-06-2024 (Friday)
- Time: 11:00 AM to 2:20 PM (200 Minutes)
- Venue: As mentioned on the admit card.
- Mode of Examination: MCQs Bilingual (English and Hindi)- Objective/Multiple Choice response Questions to be answered on Optical Mark Reader Sheet (OMR sheet) using black ball point pen provided at the Centre.
- Number of Questions: 200
- Marks: Every single correct response will get 01 mark each. No Negative Markings for incorrect response and no marks for multiple response.
- Medium of Examination: English & Hindi
- Entrance test will be conducted in offline mode.
